Julie Stewart

Deputy Manager

Julie has been part of Riverside since 2013 and was promoted to Deputy Manager in 2023.

She holds a level 3 certificate in childcare, keeping up to date by attending regular training courses.

Julie is our nursery SENCO supporting every childs individual needs working alongside staff and families to ensure all children can learn, develop and to feel included.

Phoebe

Nursery practitioner/Key Person

Phoebe started at Riverside as an apprentice in 2021 where she gained her L3 childcare qualification. Phoebe has a passion for singing where she enjoys sharing her enthusiasm with the children.

She is one of the Colourstring leads that provides musical sessions for children aged 15mths-4years. She encourages and supports the children by introducing them to rhythm, melody and early musical experiences.

Elenie

Nursery Practitioner/Key Person

Elenie started her career at Riverside in 2022 and currently holds a L2 childcare qualification. She is in the process of completing her L3 childcare qualification.

Elenie is very positive, creative and brings enthusiasm and passion to her role.

She enjoys planning and engaging activities that supports childrens imagination helping them to express themselves.

Tina V

Tina V has been part of the team since 2007 where she holds a level 3 certificate in childcare.

Tina V has a wealth of knowledge in child development and a strong awareness of child practice.

Tina V is forest school trained, where she enjoys planning and leading outdoor activities, encouraging the children to problem solve, be independent and widen their curiosity in the outdoor environment whilst developing their confidence in the natural environment.

Angela

Angela joined us as a student in 2010 where she became a full time staff member in 2011.

She holds a level 3 certificate in childcare.

Angela is our health and safety officer where she ensures a safe and well maintained environment for both children and staff. Her role also supports when planning activities for forest school, where regular risk assessments and safety procedures are followed, ensuring a safe a secure setting for all.

Charlotte

Nursery Assistant/Key Person

Charlotte is our newest member of staff who joined our team in 2025.

Charlottes background is in criminology where she brings additional knowledge in supporting her understanding of safeguarding and childrens wellbeing, whilst gaining valuable experience working under the guidance of the staff team.

Tina Heighes

Tina started her career at Riverside as Deputy Manager in 1995 and was promoted to Nursery Manager in 2001 where she holds an NNEB qualification, keeping up to date by attending regular training courses in all areas of early years education.

Tina co-ordinates staff training to ensure all staff are up to date with latest training in aid of development of children.

Tina is a very hands on Manager who loves spending time with the children out on the nursery floor.
